In 2013 Donsje was officially born! We launched our very first design, the Pina baby shoes (which is still part of our collections). We were one click away and yes: donsje.com was live and our brand existed online and on Instagram.
2014
This year we launched our first baby shoes and leather accessories collection! We attended our first trade fair where we acquired our first retailers. This was also the year where Donsje was first seen on television.
2015
In 2015, we attended our first international trade fair, Playtime Paris, where we showcased our unique animal booties and accessories. This memorable fair became truly unforgettable when we were honored with the Playtime Paris Shoe Award!
2016
In 2016, Donsje became a family affair! Donsje founder, Florentine Slingeland, was joined by her husband, Skief Houben, and together they embarked on a journey to make Donsje a true success, driven by their shared belief in the brand's potential and their passion for creating exceptional children's designs.
2017
In 2017 we expanded our collections and introduced Kids Shoes. Now not only babies, but also kids, could make new memories in their own Donsje’s. Furthermore, Vogue noticed Donsje for the first time! We joined their successful campaign: Vogue Shopping Night.
2018
In 2018 another celebrative moment arises, as we launched our first clothing collection for babies and kids. Little did we know our customers appreciated our clothing designs so much, that it has become our largest product line today.
2019
A dream truly came to life when we opened our first Flagship Store in Amsterdam! The Donsje world became an actual Donsje experience in real life.
2020
2020, a year of challenges, the first year of COVID-19. What first started as a challenge, we managed to turn around together with our loyal customers and retailers! We landed on a new way of working and came out stronger! We elevated our online presence and experiences an explosion of new followers.
2021
In 2021 we took some incredible steps. We opened our first international Flagship Store in Düsseldorf and moved from launching two collections a year to four collections. Introducing our High Summer and Winter / Holiday collection!
2022
Firstly, it was time for something new and more spacious… A new office! Secondly, we opened our first international pop-up stores in Harrods and Galeries Lafayette. Last but not least, we made big steps in sustainability: we became GOTS certified.
2023
An incredible milestone, our 10-year anniversary! In light of this celebration, we opened our third Flagship Store in Antwerp! Our very first store-in-store in the Bijenkorf in The Hague became a fact. Furthermore, we launched a completely new website, which shows the world of Donsje even better.
